How do I know how much propane is in my tank?
Most tanks have a gauge under the dome on top. It reads as a percentage, not a gallon count. We recommend calling for a delivery when it reaches 20-30%, or better yet, signing up for automatic delivery so we can monitor it for you.
What should I do if I smell gas?
Propane has a distinct odor added to it, similar to rotten eggs. If you ever smell gas, leave the area right away. Do not turn lights on or off. Do not use appliances. Once you are safely away, call 911 or DiLeo Gas.
What's the difference between Automatic and On-Demand?
With automatic delivery, we help estimate your usage and schedule deliveries so your tank stays supplied with less effort from you. With on-demand delivery, you keep an eye on your tank level and call when you need propane.
Are there different types of propane detectors?
Yes. Carbon monoxide detectors and propane gas detectors are not the same thing. They do different jobs, and both can be useful in a propane-heated home for complete peace of mind.
